The Samaya2.0 tent is the smallest model in the ALPINE range. This tent, originally developed for 2 persons with a rectangular ground plan, is also the ideal equipment for those who are looking for a large single-seater tent with an unbelievable interior comfort.

The Nanovent membrane developed by Samaya contributes greatly to this versatility. Its air permeability ensures constant oxygenation of the habitat while guaranteeing 10,000 Schmerber of impermeability. Its breathability prevents the formation of droplets inside the Samaya2.0, whatever your practice.

On the ground, Dyneema composite guarantees you zero water insertion in addition to its lightness and durability. Optimised for use on snow, Samaya recommends that you equip yourself with its ground mat for use on stony ground or dry grass.

Two DAC poles create the structure of your tent and a third one is inserted on top to stretch the canvas, optimize the interior volume and guarantee the proper functioning of the upper vents. This quick and intuitive assembly allows you to quickly take shelter and rest after an intense day.

Nanovent
Samaya specialises in “single-wall” tents which have only one fabric and therefore only one layer between the interior and the outside environment. This design saves weight and folded space with the fabric surface area required to build the tent halved. An ultra-light and compact tent allows you to either carry more material for longer periods of autonomy or to be lighter and move faster with less fatigue.

In order to maintain the same properties as “double-walled” tents, this type of design requires the use of technical textile materials. In the world of the “single-wall” tent, it is therefore customary to use breathable waterproof membrane fabrics to ensure protection from the outside environment and to evacuate the vapour emitted by the user. The porosity and air permeability of these membranes also allow for the regeneration of indoor air and the maintenance of a comfortable and safe ecosystem for users.

Samaya created the Nanovent technology and optimized its electrospinning technique. Very specific adjustments of Polyurethane nano-filaments allow air to pass through the membrane while guaranteeing high impermeability. This technology now allows Samaya to offer the most versatile tents on the market. This membrane adapts perfectly to the environment in which it is located to guarantee impermeability and perfect condensation management. This technology is also attracting a lot of interest thanks to its lightness and compactness.

The walls of the ALPINE 2021 range are based on this technology with a 3-layer laminated fabric whose core is the Nanovent membrane (between hydrophobic Nylon on the outside and hydrophilic Nylon on the inside).

Dyneema Floor
The Dyneema composite was chosen by Samaya for the flooring of the ALPINE range of tents and assault tents because of its exceptional properties. It is a laminated textile consisting of mono-filaments of UHMWPE fibre and two layers of Mylar.

Dyneema filaments superimposed at 90° to each other provide the mechanical qualities of the fabric and enable it to contain tears in the event of perforation. The two sheets of Mylar join the fabric together and provide excellent abrasion resistance and an unprecedented waterproofness of 20,000 mm. In addition to its performance, this material is very easily repairable, which increases the lifespan of Samaya products.
